How to Use This Site
Okay, quick tour! I've organized everything so you can find what you need without digging through a million pages. Here's the lay of the land.
Grade Bands
Everything is sorted into three grade bands:
- K-1 Foundations - For your littles. Gentle, hands-on, lots of read-alouds and play.
- 2-3 Skill Building - The "clicking into place" years. Reading takes off, math gets real.
- 4-5 Independence & Reasoning - Bigger projects, deeper thinking, more independence.
Pick the band that fits your kid right now, not necessarily their age. If your second grader is still working on phonics, start with K-1. No shame, just smart teaching.
Subject Hubs
Inside each grade band, you'll find subject hubs covering:
- Reading & Language Arts - Phonics, fluency, comprehension, writing
- Math - Number sense through fractions and beyond
- Science & Nature - Hands-on exploration and observation
- Social Studies - Community, geography, Tennessee history
- Enrichment - Art, music, movement, life skills
Each hub has activity ideas, book lists, and tips specific to that grade level.
Activity Library
This is the big collection of individual activities, lessons, and project ideas. You can browse by subject, grade band, or just poke around for inspiration. Every activity includes what you need, how long it takes, and which skills it builds.
Today's Help Picker
Having one of those "I have no idea what to do today" mornings? The Today's Help picker gives you a quick suggestion based on your grade band and what subject you're feeling. It's like a friend texting you a plan. (That friend is me.)
Printables
Free printable worksheets, tracking sheets, and planning pages you can download and use. Nothing fancy, just practical stuff that actually helps.
Parent Help
Resources for YOU, not just your kids. Planning tips, encouragement for hard days, Tennessee homeschool legal basics, and local co-op information. Because you need support too.
My Best Advice
Don't try to use everything. Bookmark this page, pick one grade band, and start there. You can always explore more later. The whole point is to make your homeschool life easier, not to add another thing to your plate.
