Poppets Play Place is a parent-supervised indoor soft-play playground for the little ones (think ages 7 and under) tucked into the West End shopping plaza in Farragut, on the West Knoxville side of town. It is the kind of spot built with toddlers and early walkers in mind: a big netted soft-play structure over foam flooring, a dedicated "Crawlers and Cruisers" zone for babies who are still figuring out the whole walking thing, and plenty of soft toys that are all BPA- and phthalate-free. The whole space gets cleaned daily with non-toxic disinfectants, which matters to me as a mom of three.
What makes Poppets different from the big trampoline parks is the pace. The atmosphere is deliberately calm and low-key, so grownups actually want to stay for a while rather than just drop the kids off. There is a coffee bar with free WiFi, and the private party room handles birthday celebrations for the under-7 crowd. Since it is parent-supervised, you will be staying on-site and playing along — which honestly is half the fun for the toddlers anyway.
A few practical notes before you go: no shoes or bare feet in the play area. Everyone — kids included — needs gripper socks. They sell them on site for a few dollars, and you can wash and reuse them, so keep a pair in the car. Heels and hard-soled shoes are not allowed on the foam.
It is located in the West End Shopping plaza right beside Hurricane Bikes and Goodwill, near Faith Promise Church in Farragut/West Knoxville.
