Maple Lane Farms 2026: The 28th Annual Corn Maze Opens October 2nd
The map printed on my hand said I'd be out of the corn in ten minutes. Twenty-two minutes later I was still in there, and honestly, that's the whole point of Maple Lane Farms.
This is the farm my kids have been asking about since the first hint of cool air. Maple Lane Farms in Greenback — about twenty-five minutes south of Maryville down Highway 411 — has been doing this longer than anyone in Tennessee, and this year is their 28th annual fall festival. The 2026 maze theme is "Celebrating 250 Years of America," and they're open weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from October 2nd through October 31st.
What you're actually getting yourself into: an 8-acre corn maze, tractor-pulled hayrides out to the pumpkin patch with mountain views, a pumpkin patch, sunflower fields for the photo ops, a barn store full of fall and Halloween decorating stuff, inflatables, campfires, corn hole, live music, and food vendors. The maze has a kiddie section so the little ones aren't wandering the big one with their fingers in their ears.
A few practical things before you load the car. The farm prefers cash — they run a cash price (no sales tax) and a separate card price (with tax), and cash works out cheaper. Leave the pets at home, they ask. And if you've got older kids who want the scarier stuff, the maze turns haunted on the weekends of October 16–18 and 23–25, plus October 29, 30, and 31, starting at dusk. That's the Tennessee Terror Attractions side of the farm, and it is not for the under-eight set.
For a first trip with little kids, I'd aim for a Friday or Sunday afternoon rather than a Saturday, just because Saturdays get busy. And bring a water bottle — there's a lot of walking, and corn gets dusty. The hayride is the part my youngest talks about all the way home, so don't skip it even if the line looks long.
